Then place the wax strip over the area and rub down and pull opposite to the hair growth direction. This method of hair removal ensures long lasting results. The hair does not grow back for a month or so. In addition, it also eliminates dead skin cells, leaving the skin smoother and more luminous.
Razor
Shaving is another popular method of hair removal and most modern women prefer using the razor compared to waxing. It is far less messier compared to waxing and takes half the time. All you need is a shaving gel and an appropriate razor for shaving. There are special razors available in the market these days, meant for women. Apply a small quantity of gel on the area and use the razor opposite to hair growth. Make sure to be careful to avoid cuts and nicks on the skin. You should also use a loofah regularly to avoid ingrown hairs after the shaving. Unlike waxing, shaving tends to regrow hair faster so repeats are necessary.
Laser
One of the most popular forms of hair removal these days is through laser techniques. This technique provides very long lasting results and you can expect to see hairless skin for at least several months. The way it works is that intense pulses of light are targeted at specific areas on the skin. The hair is dissolved from the follicle and this ensures that hair regrowth does not occur for a long time. The duration and intensity of light used in laser hair removal depends on the complexion and skin tone. The darker the skin the less effective laser hair removal will be.
Personal methods
When it comes to home hair removal waxing is the best option. You just need to have the basic supplies to get started and you can do waxing all by yourself. With more practice you will get better at the technique. If you wish for a faster and easier method of personal hair removal then shaving is a hassle-free method. However, remember that with shaving the hair grows back harder like a man’s stubble. Therefore, if you want fine hair growing back waxing is a better option. In addition, the wax used for hair removal is made up of natural ingredients such as lemon, honey and sugar and hence it is completely safe and natural for the skin.
Your choice of the hair removal technique will depend on convenience and budget. While laser hair removal is very expensive, personal hair removal techniques like shaving and waxing are very cheap.
