Today I’m going to tell you about some of the myths and facts that you need to know about before you decide whether laser hair removal is the right thing for you to do.

The first thing you need to know about laser hair removal, I s the pain factor. Laser hair removal is often touted as being a “painless” solution for hair removal.

Now unfortunately, this isn’t 100% for most people. It can be a little painful, but it isn’t as bad as waxing. Most people compare it to light pin picks on your hair follicles. This is because the laser is actually removing your hair follicles, which means the hair won’t grow back.

Which brings me neatly to the next thing you need to know about laser hair removal. Many places will sell you laser hair removal as a “permanent” treatment. This isn’t always the case, because laser hair removal doesn’t always mean your hair won’t grow back. Especially if you only have one treatment. For permanent hair removal, you will need multiple sessions. Laser hair removal is by far the closest thing to permanent hair removal, however.

This isn’t to mean anywhere that claims they can perform permanent hair removal is a scam. Although it is wise to ask for testimonials and other forms of proof to see if it really will be permanent. If they aren’t lying, they should only be too pleased to show you the proof.

Before you have a lot of laser hair removal performed, it’s a good idea to ask for a test. This will still cost, but it won’t be as expensive. It will allow you to see how well the treatment works for you, and how painful you find it.

Another wise thing to do before booking your laser hair removal treatment is to make sure you know who will be performing the treatment on you. Is it a fully trained practitioner? Or is it just an assistant?

You must go to a reputable place to have the treatment performed. Most of the “horror” stories about laser hair removal come from places that aren’t reputable, and from assistants who aren’t properly trained to use the machinery. If you check their credentials, then you should be completely safe during the treatment.

If you want a near permanent hair removal, then you need to talk to the practitioner about how many extra sessions this will take, and how much this will cost you. By getting all the information up front, you won’t have to pay any unexpected extras to get the hair removal results that you want.
